Hi, I'm Jayme. A small-town girl turned first-generation college graduate, world traveler, mama and kind of a badass photographer. I'm a firm believer in being present, embracing your most authentic self, and finding joy in the things that make life dolce.

I've always been the creative one...the one who noticed the little details and saw the world a bit differently. My high school offered a Darkroom Photography elective reserved for upperclassmen, but somehow I managed to weasel my way onto the roster as a freshman. My dad handed me his old 35mm film camera, and I ended up spending most of my high school years tucked away in that very darkroom (this is not an exaggeration). 

Around the same time, my grandmother took me to Italy to meet family and experience the places where our story began. With gallon sized Zip-locs full of film, I was the most annoying fifteen-year-old those TSA agents had ever seen because I wouldn't let it go through their X-ray machines.

Walking through centuries-old villages and bustling piazzas with my camera in hand, I became captivated by everyday life unfolding around me. Without realizing it, I was learning the art of documentary photography and street photography through observation rather than instruction, exactly where some of the most influential photographers learned the art themselves. 

Being classically trained in film photography, knowing you have *maybe* 30 frames on a roll, every click of the shutter matters. You see the moment before it happens. All of this passion eventually led me to earn my Master's degree in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism, where I continued studying the art of visual storytelling. This background molded my identity within the photographic arts.

That same documentary approach shapes everything I photograph today, from weddings and families to personal brands and small businesses. Whether I'm documenting the start of a marriage, the beautiful chaos of family life, or the heart behind a business, my goal is always the same: to tell an elevated, but honest story.

I create space for real life to unfold and capture it with intention. Whether those photographs become family heirlooms or the visual foundation of your brand, they should feel genuine, and unmistakably you.
